What changes compared with Challonge.
No "we’re better at everything": just the differences you see on a competition day. The point-by-point comparison, with sources, is on the prices page.
Reports that know Beyblade
On Rankly
The referee records each finish with one tap (spin, over, burst, xtreme) and the points add up by themselves. That’s where the launch-by-launch live coverage and the night’s stats come from.
Elsewhere
Generic tools only record the final result of the match, and nothing remains of how it ended.
No app to download
On Rankly
Everything from the phone’s browser, also as an app on the home screen. The tournament page can be found on Google and stays available after the tournament.
Elsewhere
With an app the tournament lives inside the app: from outside you see the live view at most, while people play.
Live coverage that updates itself
On Rankly
Viewers don’t need to reload: scores, groups and bracket change as people play, on the phone, on the projector and in the streaming graphics.
Elsewhere
On Challonge the page must be reloaded to see new results.
Real championships
On Rankly
On points, with drop scores and thresholds, or qualification-based with repechage. The rules are written plainly on the page, and every leg says what it gave to whom.
Elsewhere
On Challonge a community Elo ranking, with the paid plan; on the apps club and league standings, without qualification or repechage.
The things that make the evening
On Rankly
Event themes, a tournament Telegram channel with "your turn" notices, a duck race for prizes, end-of-tournament stats and awards.
Elsewhere
On Challonge logo and banner at most and no tournament channel; with an app, notices only reach those who installed it.
Your language, no ads
On Rankly
Interface in Italian and English, support in Italian. There are no ads and no third-party tracking on tournament pages.
Elsewhere
Challonge’s free plan shows Google ads to viewers.
